Don’t Just Have a Facebook Ad Campaign, Have a Successful Facebook Ad Campaign

Anyone can run a Facebook ad.  They are easy to create, cheap to run, and can be endlessly customizable.  So how do you make sure that your campaign ends up being successful and standing out in the crowd? These tips can take your Facebook Ad Campaign and make it a success.
Get a Facebook Vanity URL
If you simply create a Facebook business profile, you will be assigned a randomly generated URL for the page. However, once your page has 25 “likes” you can take that random URL and request a Facebook vanity web address. This is the first step in making sure that your business page seems legitimate, and it is free. So start here.
Complete Your Business Facebook Profile
No sense if running a Facebook advertising campaign in which you are trying to direct people back to your Facebook business profile page if you haven’t completed the profile yet.  Do this before starting the campaign.
Design a Customized Facebook Page
This can center on a specific advertising campaign, and be the landing page for that advertisement. You want it to have the same look and feel graphically to your advertisement, so that the customer knows that they are dealing with the same thing that made them click on the ad in the first place.
Purchase Some Facebook Ads
This is done through Facebook itself, and is quite the easy process.  You are going to want to try out a variety of targeted groups that you want the ad to reach, and you can customize it for your budget. Don’t be afraid to experiment, and don’t be afraid to switch courses if you aren’t reaching the right customers.
Offer exclusive Facebook Discounts
You need to make it worth your fans while to continue to be fans of your page and not hide your profile from their timeline. Are you creating valuable content or are you just creating visual spam?  If you are offering Facebook exclusive discounts, than your fans will be more likely to actually read what you have to say, and to click through and interact with your page more often.
Have a Shopping Cart on Your Facebook Page
Don’t forget that Facebook fans mean people that already like your brand.  Don’t leave them hanging.  Make sure that you have a shopping cart on your Facebook fan page, and offer the chance for people to make purchases right there without having to leave Facebook.  Make it easy for them.  You know customers are lazy, and the easier you make their purchase the more likely it will be to actually happen.
Engage, Don’t Instruct
Make your content a two-way street.  People like to interact; they don’t like people lecturing to them.  Run contests; ask questions, have people submit photos.  Anything but just you putting press release type snippets as a status update.
As you can see, a successful Facebook ad is comprised of two things, and effective ad itself that then leads people to a successful Facebook page. The two go hand in hand.
