Everyone wants to rank higher in the search engines, but not everyone wants to put the effort in or maybe they simply don’t know how. A lot has changed in the world of search engine marketing and how sites rank organically. The important thing to know is that quality is still king and with a few simple steps you can start ranking higher in the search results with minimal effort.

Here are some of the best ways for you to get started.

  • SEO - Search Engine Optimization through the Search RanksRanking for Your Own Name or Site Name – If you aren’t currently ranking for your site name or whatever it is you are trying to rank for, be sure to always include the name in your content and post titles when possible.
  • Using WordPress SEO Plugins – A great majority of sites are now using WordPress to manage their sites. There are a ton of free SEO Plugins out there that allow you to improve your titles, keywords and content based on what you are trying to rank for.
  • Get Quality Inbound Links – As important as content is to a web site, you still need to focus on link building. The best links are natural and when they come from high quality sites they are even better.

These three simple steps will go a long when then it comes time for you to focus your efforts on improving your search results and rankings. Start small and perform some “seo tips” searches through Google to see what other tools and resources are out there.

Nice and to the point seo post. I think using plugin is a must for anyone, especially because it is so easy and you do not need to be very tech savy to do it. Thanks for sharing!
