It doesn’t matter if you have a personal blog, a business blog or any type of blog… comments matter! Comments get users engaged and when they start interacting with other readers on your blog, then you are building a community.

Another great thing about blog commenting, is that it’s contagious. If a blog post has no comments, it’s more like a one way conversation. However, when there is at least one comment, there is a greater chance someone will leave another comment, or respond to other user comments.

So, how can you get more comments on your blog? Here are a few ideas:

When you create a blog post that is focused on any controversial topics, or an open ended question, you are inviting your readers to participate. Then, by responding to all comments, you can centennially double the amount of comments on your blog.

If you haven’t done any creative or controversial posts on your blog, try to mix things up a bit and get your readers involved. Invite them to participate and always response to all comments that deserve and require a response.
