Two Websites Every Blogger Will Find Useful

Google Trends

The internet is an amazing place for bloggers to find resources to help them create and run websites. But, as we all know, the internet is a vast place with millions, if not billions, of articles out there. Therefore, trying to find resourecs that will actually benefit bloggers can sometimes be compared to finding a needle in a haystack. However, after blogging for some time, I have found some websites that should benefit bloggers over the life of a blog, from start up to the maintenance of the website. Therefore, without further ado, here are the top websites every blogger should find useful.

#1 Google Trends

Google Trends is a brilliant website to take advantage of. The search engine company has a dedicated section which will allow you to view the popualrity of any search term along geographics, related topics and more. What this can help tell web users is just how popular what they are blogging about has been and is at the moment.
For those that have not started their website yet, this will provide a great level of information about the topic the website is going to be about, which will let those know if it is worth pursuing that topic for a blog (if the search popularity is declining or increasing with time).
As well as this, Google Trends also provide you with related queries, which, for bloggers, is a brilliant source for blogging article ideas. For example, my website on poetry analysis, from seeing what the related queries are for ‘poem analysis’ I can see that there are two poems that are being searched a lot at the moment. Therefore, it makes sense to analyse them!
For this reason, Google Trends is a great tool to use if you find yourself suffering from ‘blogger’s block’, where you are finding it hard to develop new article ideas. As well as this, it also helps bloggers understand where the traffic is for this topic of blog, enabling better targeted SEO.

#2 Fiverr

Fiverr is another great website which runs around the idea that you can outsource work to a wide range of people for just five dollars (or five dollars of an equivalent currency). There are a great deal of experts on fiverr that can help with different aspects of your website: all for just five dollars.
Now, you might not feel inclined to give over some of the work as a blogger to ‘random’ people online for a fee – I can agree this too. However, I am a blogger and would rather keep the majority of my time to writing articles rarther than things such as:

  • Designing a logo for the website.
  • Designing the backgrounds for social media website channels

For these small tasks, fiverr is the best place to go to, with many graphics designers giving great quality logos for five dollars, with usually free iterations on the logo design.
