When it comes time to start thinking about how you would like to build incoming links to your site and spread awareness for your online business, you have a lot of options. Even with Google slapping new web sites left and right every day, there are still some winning formulas out there as long as you focus on quality over unethical practices and spinning trash content.

Let’s take a quick look at some of the best ways web sites and blogs are growing their audience and customers by focusing on the following efforts:

  • Guest blogging
  • Pay per click marketing
  • Article marketing
  • Social networking
  • Media buying

No matter which of the following you choose, it’s important that you don’t waste time on low quality content and advertising tactics that may end up hurting you and your business in the long run.

We talk about guest blogging and article marketing a lot on PPC.org as they continue to be one of the most effective ways to build links and get traffic back to your site without having to spend a lot of money.

As more people are finding this out, it’s becoming tougher to get your content accepted on high quality blogs and article networks. Throw in the spinning of articles and duplicate content, and the process is even more frustrating.

One network that is looking to clean up the process and make it a lot easier for you to submit content and gain quality social buzz is Cruz Command. The concept behind their network is simple, they run hundreds of sites that focus on specific niche markets and only accept content that is manually approved by their editor team.

You can create a free account on the Command Cruz web site and start adding your content for free to many niche sites within their network. You also have the option to create a premium account that will give you access to the members only dashboard, content creation tools and full reporting for when and where your articles go live.

In addition to getting your original content out there and back links to your site, Command Cruz also provides an author box so you can gain social exposure and authority based on the articles you submit through their system.

The minimum premium package starts at $197 a month and gives you 750 article submissions across five domain names. There are much bigger packages available for anyone who is looking to submit a much large volume of articles.

Why Quality and Owner Authorship Still Matters

Content is always going to be king, it’s just a matter of who it’s from and where it’s being published. Gone are the days when you can throw up an exact match domain with some keyword rich content and then magically rank in the search engines. The days are also gone when you could buy a ton of exact match links and rank for those terms.

But gone AREN’T the days when branding and authority matters. Publish quality content and get it to the right audience and people will continue to read and research on what they are looking for. It’s important to remember that people are using the internet for one of three reasons… to research, buy something or be entertained.

Follow these guidelines and acceptable practices and you will continue to succeed in the world of online marketing.

Hey Zac. Good call on Cruz Command. I’ve signed up and got myself an account. The big problem I have is where to find genuine directories to submit my posts. It used to take me just as much time finding a blog as it did writing a 700 word article.
