This article is going to teach you how to set up a remarketing campaign.  Perhaps you have already tried to market your product or service on websites like Google, Bing and Yahoo.  Did your marketing campaign fail?  Did you end up spending a $100.00 of your hard earned money to only find out that you got $0 in sales?  This is not uncommon.  Did you know that 95% of online e-marketers fail the first time out?  It is usually because people think that pay per click marketing is easy.  Just throw up your ad on the internet and watch yourself get tons of traffic.  Of course these viewers want to buy exactly what you are selling.  Does this sound like you?  This article will focus on how you can better your ppc campaigns and teach you how to setup a remarketing campaign if you failed the first time out!

For starters, you have to learn how each search engine works.

Every search engine is not the same.  In order to be successful with your advertising dollars, you are going to have to do a little bit of research. For starters, go to a website like Spyfu.  If you have never heard of this website, they are a tracking site that actually tells you what your competitors are bidding on.  It will show you which keywords are the most profitable.  Let us say that you are selling shoes online.  What kind of shoes are these exactly?  Are they Nike sneakers or Polo dress shoes?  It really matters.

Research the keyword by first going to the search engine that you are interested in using.

If you want to use Google Adwords, then type in something like “brand name shoes”.  Which companies are coming up first in the pay per click campaigns?  Copy and paste the url into Spyfu or a similar service and you will see how much money the company is spending each month for that keyword.  If they are spending $500.00 a day on that keyword, then it must be profitable.

These types of softwares will tell you how long the company has been bidding on that word and what other phrases they are bidding on as well.  Once you learn which keywords are working for your competitors, you can fully understand what words to use.  Next you will have to set up a budget.

If you only have $100.00 to spend each month, then you are going to have to spread your money out monthly. Many pay per click marketers set their campaign to spend as quickly as possible.  This is the easiest way to kill your marketing strategy.   You have to test out which days people buy more products.  In this way, you will be able to see that certain days actually bring more lucrative results.  Set your campaign to be spread out over monthly instead of daily.  Yes, you can do this.  Most people do not know that.

I hope that these tips have allowed you to see how to set up a remarketing campaign.  It does not have to be painfully difficult.
