Federated Media and Automatics have teamed up allow WordPress.com bloggers to make money from their blogs without having to use AdSense. WordAds was announce on the WordPress.com blog earlier today. You have to personally apply here to be able to qualify for this as not all blogs will qualify. This should be something that most bloggers will love to put up on their blogs and be able to make more money online.
WordPress Said:
Over the years one of the most frequent requests on WordPress.com has been to allow bloggers to earn money from their blog through ads. We’ve resisted advertising so far because most of it we had seen wasn’t terribly tasteful, and it seemed like Google’s AdSense was the state-of-the-art, which was sad. You pour a lot of time and effort into your blog and you deserve better than AdSense.
WordAds is a new way to allow blogs to make money from their blogs. Federation Media will regulate and only put high quality advertisers on your blog. It is unknown at this moment where all these will come from.
According to the sign-up page, only publicly visible blogs with custom domains will be considered. And to go even further on that selection will be based on “level of traffic and engagement, type of content, and language used on a blog”.
If you don’t know there are almost 50,000 new blogs put up every day so there is no shortage of blogs starting. It’s time to take advantage of this new WordPress PPC platform and give it a try.

I thought it was a great move for them. Why leave money on the table when they really don’t need to. 50K new blogs a day… Hellz ya!
