This could decrease CTR for PPC ads, reduce website traffic, and lower conversions. Even in 2020, nearly 65% of searches ended in a clickless search, and SGE might amplify this trend.

Advertisers may need to rethink their strategies, especially for conversational queries that SGE can easily answer. However, providing actual services or products will still require users to click through to a website.
