No doubt everyone wants free traffic, so I am writing this article to tell you about free ways that you can implement to get free traffic to your blog or website, all you have to do is the hard work and effort to promote your blog or website.
Article Marketing
No one can deny the importance of article marketing. It is one of the best and free ways to get massive traffic to any blog or website. You can get lot of exposure and free promotion from articles directories that have even more than 1 million hits per month.  To begin this process there are two strategies one is to only get traffic and other is to get SEO juice as well.
If you are only looking for traffic, you can write few articles and submit them to different article directories to get free traffic but if you want SEO benefits than in my opinion, you have to write new article every time to submit to article directory as if you submit the same article to different article directories, Google will consider it as duplicate content and you will not get SEO benefits. So, you can make your own article marketing strategy according to your business needs.
Using Local Business Directories
Another mean of getting free promotion is by getting you website listed in local directories. We have gotten one local cremation company in several different locations and directories over the past couple years.  This has helped them to rank much better online. There are paid as well as free directories. Yahoo offer paid listing, so it cost you money to get listed in Yahoo directory but the results will be amazing. This strategy works best for a retail business. For example, if you look for “Appliance Repair in LA”, you’ll get a listing of appliance Repair Companies along with their contact details. You can provide your own business details to get free promotion for your business or website.
