How to Be Smart when it Comes to Conversion Tracking of PPC

Everybody is using PPC ads to market their business services and products. It is one of the and it works by allowing to only pay when someone clicks on your ad, so if you don’t get any traffic then you don’t have to worry about your money going down the drain. This is why there are always impending improvements on systems such as Google AdWords. One of the newest additions to the AdWords platform is the conversion tracking mechanism.
What is conversion tracking? To help you understand it let me tell you how the PPC platform works. You want to lead people to your website through your advertisement. You don’t have any sales from just traffic to your website; those persons who click through and make a purchase are those who “convert”. Your conversion rate then is how many of the people that visit your site which actually make a purchase and thus conversion tracking helps you to keep tabs on how many people are actually clicking through and making purchases.
So you see your success is dependent more on conversion than on traffic because you could have a large amount of traffic and still not get sales. Google has upped the ante and now allows you to track this with their new conversion tracking mechanism that they have added to their Google AdWords platform. This means that you will be able to keep track of your conversion so that you don’t end up wasting time using keywords and advertisements that are not working to your benefit.
How it works is that the tracking mechanism puts a cookie on the computer of the search once they have clicked on your advertisement. When they get to your conversion page which would probably be your checkout page for a purchase the cookie is sent to the Google server. The minute this occurs you will see the conversion tracking icon appear on your website. You will also find all this information under the Campaign Management tab in your Google AdWords account. You may see the similarity with this and the Adsense platform; yes they are similar in the way they work.
This is great since you will be able to see exactly where your purchases are coming from. This is a vital factor to any PPC campaign and current users of AdWords welcome it. New users can look forward to it too as they seek a way to make their websites more profitable.
To get started with conversation tracking you will need to place a couple lines of code. If you are not familiar with HTML you can get PPC help to get the HTML created for your pages. You will need to give a webmaster access to both your AdWords account and your website so that they can place the code for you.
You will be able to properly monitor your advertising campaign and thus make your business more profitable and be able to adjust your ad campaign in just the right way throwing trial and error through the window.

i guess it deepnds on what you’re making the graphic for. in the case of graphics for newspapers, usually you have the idea first, and then you look for researchers who have data.
