When people get to your landing page, what are they doing? Hopefully they are about to complete their order process or perform another action. The ability to get your visitor to your landing page isn’t enough, you need to build the page around them and cater to their needs. Here are five helpful tips to help improve your landing page conversions.
Remove Site Navigation
Why would you need a navigation on your sales / landing page anyway? The last thing you want the visitor to do is leave and get distracted. If you must have outbound links, or a navigation bar, you should place them below the display screen and at the bottom of your page.
Keep It Simple!
Many times we probably find ourselves wanting to have a great looking design with some really flashy areas. The honest truth is that simple and ugly works. Just look at the sales pages over at Amazon.com and all other major online retailers. They are simple and walks the user through the process with ease. You should be trying to do the same.
Auto Populate and Optimize Forms
Want to shave a few seconds off the order form process and make things easier for your visitor? When possible, you should be requesting as little information as possible from your visitors. If you have the ability to pre-populate forms and automate the sign up / sales process, this can go a long way in driving that extra 1% or 2% that you might lose without these automated steps.
