2 Reasons Why You Should Not Use Adsense Anymore

Before people get completely distressed at the mere thought of not using Adsense, what the title is 2 Reasons Why You Should Not Use Adsense Anymorestating is that there are two reasons why you should not use Google Adsense as the primary source of revenue but different programs that incorporate Adsense as well as many other advertising platforms and channels. For 2017 and several years into the future, I can see the future of publisher advertising being in Adsense Certified Partners, such as Ezoic. These are companies for which Google work with as a partner and give better access to their advertising network to provide a better user experience – this was one of the reasons why Google pushed on the idea of ‘Ad Choices’: to make a universal network of advertising online for different channels and platforms. Anyway, without further ado, here are two reasons why shouldn’t use Adsense to monetize websites but look to go with a certified Adsense partner into the future.
 

#1 Less Restrictions

One of the bad points to Adsense (or you could see it as a good thing to some extent) is that there are strict rules to make sure Adsense is not abused on websites. The main ones include:

  • How many adverts on a page, limited at a maximum of three
  • Location of adverts, such they can’t be in sticky widgets that they don’t scroll with the webpage

With Adsense certified partners, these rules do not apply to them since they are working with much larger size websites that get the benefits of having the some of the rules lifted on them. For this reason, you can have adverts in sticky widgets and have many more adverts than the maximum of three on a webpage. This ultimately means your RPM will increase dramatically since more area of your website is occupied by adverts (so web users are more likely to see and click on them).

The AI system learns web users and learns what best locations, sizes, colours and more produce the best results.
At the end of the day, think of the millions of variables that a publisher would have to change to completely test adverts on their website manually with Adsense. Certified Adsense partners can do this automatically for you and even adapt over time to constantly find the best set up for your website.
 
 
I can understand that to be accessible to use an Adsense certified partner, you may need a website to hit a certain amount of traffic (which might be unachievable for some niche websites). However, from my experience, Adsense certified partners are accepting websites with traffic as low as 30,000 visitors/month. Therefore, if you are currently using Adsense to monetize a website, have a look at implementing AI advertising onto your website – you will be pleasantly surprised how much extra it can make you.
