I am always trying to improve my Page Rank and PR rank for all of my website.  I wrote a post on the 2012PR Update Expected Dates if any of you are interested in getting prepared for the next PR update that should happen in about four weeks.  Below are some tips and tricks to improve your PR rank for your website.

Post Blog Posts on Others Websites:

Google loves content, that’s how their business works.  It searches the internet and the sites with the best content is put to the top of their rankings.  They determine this by a number of factors.  They love to see other websites linking to you.  I personally like to go to Fiverr and do a search for Website or Blogs.  This helps me to find potential people that I can pay to get a blog post up on their site.  I don’t think Google thinks this is bad in any way, shape, or form.  It’s posting content on other peoples sites.  It’s keeping Google in business.  It is paying to write a blog post but we would pay to do a lot of things like for a link on BOTW or any other site like that.  By blog posting on their website you can get a link to your website.  Over time these links will become more and more valuable.  This is called article link building.

Buy Links on Established Websites:

Sites like BOTW are paid links, not in the sense of buying a link on some junk website.  This one is a legit paid link on a very credible website.  The cost is $300 and should be worth it for anyone looking to boost their PR rank up a bit.  DON’T BUY LINK from sites that you don’t trust and DON’T buy links in general unless the site is owned by Google, AOL, or Yahoo.  I know there are some sites out there where you can pay to get in their blogroll.  You can do this but be warned that if Google finds out about this, your site will be de-indexed and lose all it’s PR rank.  I like to refer to it as the Google Slap.  Yes, I have been slapped before.  Went from 5K uniques a day on my site to 10 uniques a day.

Build Honest Content

Building a ton of content is a sure way for Google to recognize you as a big player.  You should climb up the ranks pretty quick to a PR 4 or PR 5 without any trouble then it will take a while to get to a PR 6 or above.  Typically when you have good content other sites out there link to you and quote you.  This causes good inbound links to come to your website. Google loves this and sees this as a really good way.  If you are building up good content you should climb in the ranks with time.  Yes, it will take time.  Yes, it will be a lot of work.  But honest work is the best way to get long term results online.
